The Los Angeles Horn Quartet (LAHQ), formed in early 2010, consists of members Dylan Hart, Allen Fogle, Laura Brenes, and Annie Bosler. The four friends met freelancing in Los Angeles and were drawn together by a mutual interest to expand the idea of a horn quartet as an ensemble. Within the last few years, the group has commissioned works by young composers as well as written their own transcriptions of jazz, pop, rock, and classical standards molding the typical horn quartet into a more versatile ensemble. LAHQ performs frequently in the community and places a large emphasis on educational outreach programs.
All members record for motion pictures, television, and video games including such blockbusters as Wreck It Ralph, Frozen, Despicable Me II, The Lone Ranger, and the video game League of Legends. Collectively the group has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, Buffalo Philharmonic, Minnesota Symphony, Los Vegas Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony, New West Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, and Mormon Tabernacle Choir. In addition members of LAHQ have toured with The Who, Josh Groban, Percy Faith, and John Williams’ Star Wars in Concert as well as performed with major entertainers PDiddy, Jack Black, Christian McBride, Patty Austin, Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Sting, and Michael Bublé.
LAHQ can be heard on all 2012 and 2013 recordings of Carbine Studios’ video game Wildstar.
