Live! at the Museum musical guest for May 9th, 2013 will be Olson Trio, flute, bassoon and harp

Adept at the classics, jazz and pop, these very talented women join together for an evening of solo, duo and trio works. Jenni Olson, flute, performs regularly with the chamber group Orion Winds which she co-founded and has played with various orchestras such as Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, New West Symphony, and the Pacific Symphony.  Marcia Dickstein, harp, is Founder/Director of the Debussy Trio that has played worldwide: in the US, Europe, Scandinavia and Japan. She plays with Los Angeles Music Center Opera, Long Beach Symphony and has over 375 film credits. Christin Phelps, bassoon, is a freelance chamber and orchestral musician in the Los Angeles area. She performs regularly with the Ceora Winds, teaches at Citrus College, conducts master classes and maintains a private teaching studio.

The concerts are free with Museum admission. Museum admission is $7/adult and $5/senior & student; free for Museum members. The Museum’s doors are open from 5 to 9 pm every Thursday and once a month Laguna Beach Live! will bring in talented musicians to perform classical and contemporary chamber music, 7pm to 8 pm.

The special concert musician for May 15th, 2013 will be Kristin Korb at Aliso Creek Inn. The concert will start at 6pm.

Laguna Beach Live! is delighted to present Kristin Korb for her only Orange County appearance on her 2013 CD release tour on Wednesday, May 15, 6pm in the cabaret club at Aliso Creek Inn.  Critics have praised Kristin as the upright bass player and vocalist who sings in the tradition of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan and plays with the swing of the great Ray Brown. Kristin will be joined by Jeff Hamilton on drums and Bruce Forman on guitar who made the CD, What's Your Story, with Kristin. Kristin Korb is not just a singing bassist. She is a premier singer with a personal approach and a deep sense of swing. She transports you to other worlds with her ballads. More information here.
