Lak, Karen, violinist, is a musician who has performed with the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the San Diego Symphony and records with the major studios in Los Angeles and also teaches and presents recitals. Ms.Lak and the other members of her trio are well known to chamber music audiences throughout  the region and Karen exclusively performs with her Thomas Urquhart violin made in 1640 in England.
¬† Ms.Lak’s website, www.scriptureandsymphonies.com is a collection of Scriptural texts which¬†she has¬†combined with compositions of the great composers.¬† Ms.Lak has recently signed a contract with Hungaroton Records (Budapest, Hungary) for the exclusive rights to record these scripts with any selection from their library, including recordings by the Budapest Festival Orchestra with Ivan Fischer, conducting.¬† The next release will be Schubert’s 9th Symphony entitled, “One God, One Savior”.
