Orion Winds

Orion Winds, 2004 Chamber Music Festival Participants, formed in 2001, are all graduates, or in the last year of completing a graduate degree, from the University of Southern California. Four out of five members attended the Henry Mancini Institute, a yearly program dedicated to exposing classical musicians to jazz and other non-traditional styles. The quintet has been actively involved with the Da Camera Society, which presents educational outreach shows for children. The Orion Winds is building a repertoire of traditional works for woodwind quintet and interlacing this with contemporary styles.
