Yao Guang Zhia, Clarinet, 2005 Chamber Music Festival, is a native of Tai Yuan, Shan Xi, China. He was accepted at the Beijing Central Conservatory and studied there with Yuan Fu Huang. Yao-Guang is in his first year at Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, California and studies with Yehuda Gilad. Recently Mr. Zhai won first place in the Classical Instrumental category at the prestigious Spotlight Competition at the Los Angeles Music Center.
