AURIA
FIRST SUNDAYS, May 1st, 2011: an afternoon of chamber music and art at the Laguna College of Art & Design. The concert is 3:00 to 4:30 pm and the Art Gallery opens at 2:00 pm.

Auria, “gentle music,” brings together the talents and experiences of artists who’ve performed all over the globe. Now all residing in Los Angeles, they discovered a collaboration that’s just beginning to catch the ear of music lovers across the city. Auria, “gentle music,” made its debut as an ensemble with the Southeast Symphony. Soon afterward, Auria was presented in concert by the Mid-City Music Center at the Lucy Florence Cultural Center in the heart of historic Leimert Park Village in Los Angeles. Appearances on the Laguna Beach Live! and L.A. Musical Salon Dinner/Concert Series in Westwood followed.

First Sundays is a collaboration with Laguna College of  Art & Design and is presented on  the First Sunday of each month, October-May (except Jan). The concert is in Studio 6 at the Art College, 2222 Laguna Canyon Rd., a few miles from main beach. There is ample and complimentary parking.
Funding is provided by the lodging establishments and City of Laguna Beach and donations from the audience.

FIRST SUNDAYS, April 3rd , 2011: an afternoon of chamber music and art at the Laguna College of Art & Design. The concert is 3:00 to 4:30 pm and the Art Gallery opens at 2:00 pm.

AlmaNova is a talented, classically trained flute and guitar duo presenting an eclectic program of music from all over the world. This innovative duo has been trained in the classical tradition while exploring other types of music. AlmaNova’s great love of all musical genres shines through to their audience by way of dynamic performances and mesmerizing stage presence.

FIRST SUNDAYS,  December 5th, 2010: an afternoon of chamber music and art at the Laguna College of Art & Design. Concert is, 3:00 to 4:30 pm and the Art Gallery opens at 2:00 pm.

Alexander Sack is a fine arts guitarist whose awards include, two time winner of the Randy Rhoads Memorial Award, and twice recipient of the Andres Segovia Award for classical guitar
performance. He has utilized the electric guitar as a solo instrument, and refined it for music from classical to blues,and contemporary compositions.

FIRST SUNDAYS,  OCTOBER 3,2010: an afternoon of chamber music and art at the Laguna College of Art & Design. Concert is, 3:00 to 4:30 pm and the Art Gallery opens at 2:00 pm.

CEORA WINDS: is composed of Michelle Matsumune, flute, Heather Millette, clarinet and Christin Webb, bassoon. They have played chamber music together for 10 years, performing throughout Southern California and across the country in concert halls, churches, cocktail parties and coffee shops. Equally adept at classical standards, jazz arrangements and everything in between, Ceora Winds brings the joy of true chamber music to the  community.
