Madalyn Parnas Möller is Principal Second Violinist of Pacific Symphony and a Marshall Scholar. A first-prize winner at Carnegie Hall’s International Chamber Music Competition, she has performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and L’Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire. She has premiered violin concertos by Sven-David Sandström and Don Byrd, performed at the Kennedy Center, and collaborated with Peter Serkin and Jaime Laredo. She holds a doctorate from UCLA.
Cellist Yoshika Masuda has won competitions internationally and received the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe String Award. He co-founded the Darshan Trio and SAKURA cello quintet, performed with the Kronos Quartet, and appeared at the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival. His performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and ABC Classic FM, and he appears on Leonard Cohen’s album You Want It Darker. He directs String Studies at Chapman University.
Pianist HyeJin Kim became the youngest participant to win a prize at the Busoni Competition, aged 17. She has performed with the Russian State Philharmonic, Konzerthaus Orchestra, and Pacific Symphony, and made her Carnegie Hall recital debut in 2016. Her Sony Classical debut featured Rachmaninoff’s piano concertos with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra. A prizewinner at competitions in Hong Kong and Toronto, she has performed at Berlin’s Konzerthaus and Prague’s Rudolfinum.
